Refund Policy

1. Free calculators and free designs

All cost calculators on HomeServiceCost are free to use, with no account and no payment. The AI Design Studio also has a free tier (5 designs per month). There is nothing to refund on the free tier.

2. Paid subscriptions (Homeowner $19/month, Contractor $99/month)

• Cancel any time. You can cancel your subscription whenever you like. After cancelling, your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
• First payment — 14 days. If the paid plan is not what you expected, contact us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund that payment in full.
• Renewal payments — 7 days. If you were charged for a renewal by mistake (for example, you meant to cancel but did not get to it), contact us within 7 days of the charge and we will refund it.
• What we cannot refund. Periods that have already been used to generate and download designs are not refundable, and we cannot refund a period after the windows above have passed.

3. How to request a refund

Email support@homeservicecost.com from the email address you used at checkout, or call (432) 580-0244. Tell us the email address on the account and roughly when you paid, and we will confirm and process the refund. We reply within one business day.

4. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders — as a result, Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns, and the refund is issued through Paddle to the card or payment method you used.

5. If something goes wrong with a payment

Please contact us before starting a chargeback or a dispute with your bank — in almost every case we can fix it faster than the dispute process. We will always look at the account history and either correct the charge or explain exactly what it was for.

6. Your legal rights

Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation right you may have under the consumer law that applies where you live.
